Our Process

Our comprehensive planning process takes you through six core stages to allow us to thoroughly study your current financial state and give you the most appropriate counsel.

Stage 1: Introductory Meeting

Trust is the foundation of a productive, long-term relationship. This meeting will let you get to know us and decide if it makes sense to partner with us. In this meeting we will:

  • Introduce our planning process and services
  • Determine areas of need or interest
  • Explain the cost of our services

Stage 2: Discovery Meeting

During this session we begin to review and clarify your financial data. Just as importantly, we take the time to understand you—your values, fears, hopes and dreams. Specifically during this meeting we will:

  • Come to mutual understanding
  • Define expectations, goals, fears and dreams
  • Determine your investment risk profile
  • Gather and clarify your financial statements

Stage 3: Analysis and Modeling

We will help you connect all your financial accounts into your Cambridge Wealth Manager (CWM) and then begin studying your information to do the following:

  • Conduct a 30-point analysis to determine the efficiency of each part of your plan
  • Perform "Gap Analysis" to determine how to best bridge any gaps that may exist
  • Recommend how to improve your current plan and bridge the gaps

Stage 4: Draft Plan Meetings

We will present our findings with you and introduce possible solutions to improve your plan. Though we will have recommendations, we will collaborate with you until we find the most appropriate fit. During this stage we will do the following:

  • Present initial findings, identifying areas of weakness and strength and the ramifications
  • Discuss potential solutions, including educating you on the pros and cons
  • Work together to design solutions
  • Determine how to move forward

Stage 5: Implementation Meetings

A plan is only as good as its execution. Our service team will work with you each step of the way to implement the solutions. This meeting will include the following:

  • Completing applications
  • Reviewing and finalizing the overall financial plan and process
  • Discussing introductions to others you feel would also would benefit from our services

Stage 6: Ongoing Review and Service

Life changes. Income grows, needs evolve, and goals expand. We can meet as often as you like, but we will meet at least once each year to do the following:

  • Review your progress
  • Identify new needs
  • Review portfolio performance to plan
  • Re-allocate funds
